1、概述
GW5型户外高压隔离开关是用于三相交流50Hz的户外高压电气设备，供线路在有电压无负载的情况下进行分合，以及对被检修高压母线、断路器等电气设备与带电的高压线路进行电气隔离之用，也可用于开合小的电容或电感电流。在闸刀处于正常分闸位置时，可提供一个符合安全要求的绝缘距离。 广泛使用于35-110kV变电站。
2、主要结构及特点
1、每台隔离开关单极由底座、两个支柱绝缘子、接线座、左右触头装配、 接地刀等部分组成；
2、触指与触指座之间采用轴窝连接，接线板与触杆之间采用铜软 连接，使产品的主回路电阻大幅度减小。
3、两只支柱绝缘子呈“V”型布置安装在同一底座上，具有占地面积小，减少安装金属构架的优点；
4、采用滚动轴传动，操作省力，转动灵活，开合自如。
5、通过伞齿轮转动，从而保证两柱的分合闸动作一致；
6、两支柱轴线交角50度，转动角度达90度，分闸后有足够裕量的绝缘隔离断口，从而 保证其安全性；
7、由操动机构的带动基座部拐臂、拉杆，分别使两支柱绝缘子 同步转动，以实现分合闸操作，
8、产品有不接地、单接地、双接地三种方式，主轴与接地之间有可靠的机械连锁，从而保证其安全；
9、配用CJ2自动操动机构或CS-17G手动机构等，可附装电磁锁。操作机构上的定位装置， 能保证触头与静触头的处于正确的接触位置或分断位置。
