The FXG8 series lightning protection suspension insulator is suitable for overhead power lines. It connects overhead insulated wires or bare wires to the metal fittings of tension rods or corner rods, thereby tightening and insulating the overhead wires and providing lightning protection.

This product is suspended on the transmission and distribution line, with a low potential at the right end of the insulator. At this point, a spatial gap is formed between the high and low voltage electrodes on the left and right ends of the insulator, mainly used to provide lightning strike and arc discharge channels. Its operating voltage is lower than that of the insulator body, and it must act before the insulator body flashover, causing lightning to drain and protecting the insulator and wire.

When the overhead insulated transmission and distribution network is struck by direct current lightning or induced lightning, the spatial gap provided by the arcing rods at the left and right ends of the insulator can discharge before the insulator flashover path, providing a flashover channel for lightning. The power frequency arc or single-phase short-circuit current arc root established on the flashover channel can only be fixed on the high and low voltage electrodes provided by the arcing, and will not flow into the insulator body or wire, thus avoiding the phenomenon of burning the insulator umbrella skirt or even burning the insulated wire.

This product meets the technical standards for line insulators specified in the national standard, and improves various performance indicators of the insulators. It tries to block discharge as much as possible, and in the case of inability to block, lightning protection is carried out by means of diversion. The insulator and anti arc fittings are combined into one, which can be hung and tightened on transmission and distribution lines. It can be horizontally tightened and installed relative to the pole, or vertically tightened and hung on the line bracket, with great economy and practicality. The ignition rod of this product can provide multiple power frequency arc erosion, with reliable performance, and can effectively prevent insulator damage and insulation wire breakage accidents caused by lightning strikes.

Among them, the shape of the metal fittings at both ends of the insulator core rod can be continuously changed according to the needs of the transmission and distribution line connection, in order to facilitate the connection of the insulator in the line.
